NIght sky. {Idaho}

We waited. It did not come. Out in the cold frozen night, we stood, staring up at the shining winter night sky. We looked out over the dark lake, out to the lights on the other side, and it did not come. We thought we saw a U.F.O, but it was only a satellite and then we thought we saw something else, but it was just a star falling. Under our feet: snow. Over our heads: a canopy of diamonds. We were patient, but we got cold. Aurora Borealis never showed up. We never got to see her colors spread like ribbons across the night sky. Our hands were frozen and our lips were blue and it was late, so finally, we went inside.
