The Fulford Family||Portland

When I hung out with these four, the day was a perfect slice of autumn. The leaves were glowing orange and red and the sky was clear blue. We collected rocks and shells from unexpected places and gathered piles of leaves to throw into the air. We found a graveyard of broken down VW’s and played in graffiti-filled Alberta alleyways. The afternoon ended with a trip to Salt & Straw for ice-cream cones: the family sat on the little red bench outside the shop and swung their legs in happiness, licking their delicious treats. And I got to stand back in the November light and watch the four of them, together in the moment, so sweet.
