EMILY + MEG // MARRIED ON THE WILDWOOD TRAIL
Emily and Meg. Deep into the heart of the Wildwood forest. A bright February day. Crows in the sky following trails of cloud. Light through the trees, silence and cold. Picnic baskets and champagne glasses and succulents on the ground where they stood facing one other. They looked up and the trees had never been taller; they looked down and the soil had never been darker. They held hands and their hearts beat up through the tops of the canopies. There were tears in eyelashes and poems read out loud and runners in short-shorts on the trail. The Wildwood sign pointed in all directions and when they said I do, the forest shifted and the squirrels clicked nuts in celebration. Emily and Meg: brave/beautiful/full of love/married on the Wildwood trail.
