The Temer Family. {Seattle}

On my recent trip to Seattle, I spent the morning with an old friend and her amazing little family. The morning was bright and the clouds were like streamers across the sky and the wind got caught in our hair. We chased our shadows through the park and when our faces got too cold, we walked back to the house. At home, Parker showed me her big girl bed and pointed out the paper butterflies that parade up her wall. Baby Louisa sat in her highchair and dropped puffs onto the floor for the dog, who waited for the treats patiently, like a statue. The family snuggled together on the couch and outside, across the street, the trees were tall against the faded blue sky. It is incredible to look at these two little girls, then look at their mama and realize that I have known her most of my life–that we have shared memories from when we were in the single digits. And now I get to watch these four beautiful faces underneath the Seattle sun, and all the love between them, and the way their hair looks when it is lifted collectively by the wind.
