Troolie. {Portland}
I recently had the pleasure of photographing Troolie, a new local business on the corner of 30th & Killingsworth. The owner Kate (whose family I photographed back in the fall) describes her store as a: “chic & modern stationery/gift boutique that promotes making a big whoop out of people”. Troolie (as in: truly yours) opened its doors last week and specializes in greeting cards, gifts, party accoutrements and custom stationery. The store also has a lovely custom lounge where party or wedding throwers can design invitations for their event. Troolie is like a candy store, but instead of sweets, the walls are filled with colorful cards that say things like: i love you more than the 80′s loved big hair. Being in Kate’s store for an hour made me feel troolie inspired to send cards, throw parties and wave a bunch of miniature sparklers into the dark, if for no other reason than to see a little bit of color light up the night.
