Muesli: not your average hippie breakfast||Portland
On a cloudy morning a few weeks ago, I went over to my friend Leela’s house to make Muesli with green apples and coconut. She likes food and photography and hot chocolate and she blogs for the Kitchn. On some deep level, I kind of want her to live with me. Everything she does is amazing–whether it is writing, cooking or taking pictures of the food on her plate (or the world around her, for that matter). We put oats and apples in the cuisine art; we drank coffee from pink tea cups and put fruit toppings in small bowls; we ate several plump blueberries and we documented it all. Eventually we decided that it was time to put our cameras down so that we could sit and enjoy our hippie food. The clouds lingered, but we didn’t care because our bowls were full and the muesli was plentiful.
