Arwen||Portland
Arwen is one of the coolest seven year-olds I know. A collector of rocks and small boxes, she listens to Red Hot Chili Peppers on the daily. If she has a moment of down time, she might head to the couch with the newest issue of Dwell magazine–she likes to stay up to date on current home design. Once and awhile she may be caught in pink galoshes, busting a move to an old Madonna tune. If she could invite anyone to dinner, she might choose Andy Goldsworthy. He would walk into her house and show her how to display sticks. They would take pictures together and then she might sing him an a cappella version of Under the Bridge. And just like myself, he would be quickly and irreversibly won over by all of her fabulousness and her many lovely little ways.
